On 28 October 2016, to commemorate the 98th anniversary of the foundation of the state of Czechoslovakia, Karel Kuttelwascher was awarded the Military Order of the White Lion, 1st Class – Vojenský řád Bílého lva „Za vítězství“, I. třída, it is the highest order of the Czech Republic.
Karel Kuttelwascher was the most successful Czechoslovak fighter pilot of WW2. He was the RAF’s 6th most successful night fighter and their most successful night intruder pilot. All of which was achieved without the assistance of radar.

Muj pradedecek Vladimír Horský take bojoval v Bitve o Britanii jako stihaci pilot 310 squadrony. Bohuzel tyden po tom co nastoupil na letiste v Britanii do bojove sluzby byl sestrelen a zabit v roce 1940. Domnivam se, ze kazdy takovyto hrdina, ktery polozil svuj zivot za to abychom tu nemeli vsude nacismus. Vsichni tito hrdinove by zaslouzily in memorian nejvyssi ceske vyznamenani za hrdinstvi a neuveritelnou odvahu.
