RNDr Air Marshall Karel Janousek awarded the White Lion


On 28 October 2016, to commemorate the 98th anniversary of the foundation of the state of Czechoslovakia, RNDr Air Marshall Karel Janoušek was awarded the Military Order of the White Lion, 1st Class – Vojenský řád Bílého lva „Za vítězství“, I. třída, it is the highest order of the Czech Republic.

RNDr Air Marshall Karel Janoušek was the Commander in Chief of the Czechoslovak RAF forces in England during WW2.

    It’s not truth. Air Marshall Janoušek was awarded the Military branch of the Order of White Lion, 1.class. The Military Order of White Lion was different award and ceased to confer 31.12.1992.
