Česká připomínka bitvy o Británii

On 6 August Col Jiří Niedoba, Defence Attaché and CWO Tomáš Kašpar, Defence Attaché Assistant from the Czech Embassy London, made a private visit to the National Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel le Ferne, and the Kent Battle of Britain Museum, Hawkinge to learn more about the Czechoslovak participation in that battle.

Dne 6.srpna 2020 plk. Jiří Neidoba, český přidělenec ministerstva obrany v Londýně a jeho asistent, štábní poručík Tomáš Kašpar soukromě navštívili národní památník bitvy o Briátnii v Capel le Ferne a muzeum bitvy o Británii v Hawkinge, aby se dozvěděli více o české účasti v této bitvě.

By the memorial wall where 89 Czechoslovak pilots are named amongst the 2938 Allied Battle of Britain airmen of that battle.

Then onto the nearby Kent Battle of Britain Museum to see the numerous artifacts they have there which have Czechoslovak connections

Následovala cesta do nedalekého muzea bitvy o Británii v Kentu. Shlédli jsme zde četné zde uložené artefakty odkazující na československou účast v bitvě.

Of particular interest was the museum’s recently acquired Heinkel III bomber, now in the marking of the Heinkel III shot down on 15 September 1940 by Sgt Bohumír Fürst of 310 (Czechoslovak) Sqn.
Zvláštní pozornost byla věnována nejnovějšímu přírustku muzea, bombardéru Heinkel He-111, nyní v barvách stroje sestřeleného 15.září 1940 Sgt. Bohumírem Fürstm ze 310. (československé) perutě.
