On 30 October 2013, the General Janoušek Aviation Club o.s. held a Remembrance Ceremony to commemorate the 120th birthday of Air Marshall Karel Janoušek.

Dne 30. října 2013 Letecký klub gen. Janouška o. s. uskuteční slavnostní shromáždění u příležitosti 120. narozenin leteckého maršála RAF Karla Janouška.

The Ceremony commenced at the Památník Druhého odboje Memorial, the Memorial of the Second Resistance Movement at Klárov, Prague.

Slavnostní obřad se konal u památníku Druhého odboje na Klárově v Praze.

Attending the Ceremony was Lt/col retd. Ing. Jaroslav Klacek, of the General Janoušek Aviation Club o.s, Mahulena Křenková, niece of Gen. Karel Janoušek, Col. Josef Mihule, representing Svaz letců ČR (the Airmens Association of the Czech Republic), Jiři Stanislav President of Cyriacs – The International Order, Knights Of the Cross with a red heart, Karel Bažánt and a Guard of Honour from the Czech Air Force. Jan Šinágl, veterans of the Parachute Regiment of the Czech Army and distinguished personalities from the general public also attended.

Pietního shromáždění se účastnili, pplk. v.v. Ing. Jaroslav Klacek,– Letecký klub gen. Janouška o. s., paní Mahulena Křenková, neteř Karla Janouška, plk. v.v. Josef Mihule – Svaz letců ČR, pan Jiří Stanislav – prezident, Mezinárodní řád křižovníků s červeným srdcem Cyriacs, pan Karel Bažant a čestná stráž Českého letectva, pan Jan Šinágl, veteráni z výsadkového pluku Armády České republiky a další významné osobnosti z řad široké veřejnosti.

The Ceremony was opened with a traditional folk songs played by a bagpiper. Speeches then followed by:

Obřad zahájil dudák tradičními lidovými písněmi, po nichž následovaly projevy hostí. Následovaly projevy.

Afterwards Lt.Col. Klacek and Col. Mihule accepted from Mr. Jiří Stanislav the flag of the Cyriacs for their Associations.

Poté Jiří Stanislav předal prapor Cyriaků do rukou pplk.Klacka a plk. Mihuleho pro jejich sdružení.

The Ceremony then continued at the commemorative plaque to Air Marshall Karel Janousek Memorial Plaque at the nearby Kosárkově nábřeží. A wreath laid was laid at the memorial Plaque whilst in the background the piper played ‘Amazing Grace’ on his bagpipes.

Slavnost pak pokračovala u pamětní desky maršála letectva RAF Karla Janouška na nedalekém Kosárkově nábřeží, kde byl položen věnec za zvuků dud přednášejících proslulou melodii na rozloučenou – Amazing Grace.

The ceremony was concluded by the taking of a group photograph of the participants and their signing a commemorative document.

Slavnostní shromáždění bylo ukončeno skupinovou fotografii účastníků a jejich podpisem pamětního listu.
