Czechoslovak Airmen’s Memorial, Prague


The Memorial commemorates Czechoslovak airmen who were killed during World War 2.

They are interred at numerous cemeteries in Britain, Europe, Russia or elsewhere in the world. Those with no known graves are commemorated on memorials at Runnymede, Ottawa and El Alamein.

Along both sides of the Memorial are plaques where their names are commemorated.

The memorial is located on Československé armády, Device, Prague 6. The nearest Metro station is Dejvická, the memorial located about 400 mtrs east of this station. The station is located on Evropská, on exiting the station go down to the large roundabout about 100 mtrs away, cross over and proceed down Československé armády.
