Hello, I am presently living in the Czech Republic and am very interested in Czech RAF airmen. My father was in the US Eighth Army Air Force (Army Air Corps) in training for the newly developed radar. He worked on B 17s and then B 29 bombers.
However, I am trying to find out information about a Czech, Mr. Jan Kouril (Kouřil). He was born in 1904, in Zabreb na Moravia (I think). He moved to France, then went to England to fight with the RAF. He survived the war, but I cannot find out much information about him. Any information you could provide me with would be greatly appreciated. I don’t think he was a pilot. I think he worked on fighter plane engines, or bomber engines. If you do not happen to have any information, could you please lead me in the right direction and point out places I could possibly find out information?
