With „Spitfiry nad bojištěm – Spitfires over battlefield“ you can become familiar with the previously publicly unknown biography of F/Lt Kurt Taussig, a Czechoslovak pilot in the Royal Air Force.

As a young child was Kurt Taussig was saved in one of the Kindertransports dispatched from Prague to United Kingdom in 1939 and organized by Nicholas Winton. Later on Kurt Taussig volunteered for RAF service in 1941 and passed his pilot’s training with the Rhodesian Air Training Group of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP). He completed his training in Palestine and Egypt and saw action over Italy with No 225 squadron RAF until the end of the WW2.

Text of the book is richly complemented by more than 90 unpublished photographs and several colour aircraft profiles.
