Walter (Vlado) Stano, who left the USA to volunteer for training in Bermuda and who as a member of the 311 Squadron, lost his life along with his fellow crewmen on June 29, 1944.Nech všetci odpočívajú v pokoji.
Jan Filip died 13.07.1944 in a Liberator L,BZ717 crash while returning from an operational flight. Buried in Weston Mill Cemetery, Plymouth, Devon, grave number 18439.

My mother’s first husband, Jan Filip, 311 Squadron, died on a training mission somewhere near Plymouth in July of 1943.
