Those are not Spitfire Mk.I but they are Spitfire Mk.Vc. There were no Squadron service Mk.I Spitfires with 20mm canon wings. That video is amazing.

[Moderators note: To clarify, the title ‘Czech Spitfires I’ is not saying that these are Spitfire Mk I, but to identify 2 separate Spitfire film clips. We also have ‘Czech Spitfires II’ which is here.

There is also a film clip about the Czech Wing when based at Exeter here]

Do you have any movie document of the 311 bomber squadron in East Wretham?? My uncle served there in 1941 – 1942. Thanks. Peter Doktor St. Catharines Ontario Canada.

[Moderators note: At present only aware of a privately produced documentary about 311 Sqn at East Wretham]

310 Sqdn Spitfire letter code NN-A (AR501) is in the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden, Bedfordshire UK. It is undergoing a complete rebuild and will probably take to the air again in 2-3 years. I noted this aircraft taxying out in the film.
